This network serves as a crucial mechanism for gathering timely and relevant national-level information and analysis, underpinning Eurofound’s research and monitoring activities in the key areas of working conditions, industrial relations and social dialogue, employment and labour markets, and living conditions. For decades, Eurofound has been committed to providing robust knowledge to support the development of informed social, employment, and workrelated policies in the EU. A core component of this commitment is the systematic monitoring of developments within Member States. While Eurofound’s Europe-wide surveys provide valuable data, the Network of Eurofound Correspondents is indispensable for sourcing detailed, countryspecific information, particularly in areas where comprehensive harmonised EU-level data is limited or where nuanced qualitative insights are required. The NEC contributes to Eurofound's capacity to systematically map, compare, and analyse national regulations, policies, and practices.
