EN E-000492/2025 Answer given by Mr Brunner on behalf of the European Commission (6.6.2025) The Commission remains firmly committed to fight antisemitism in all its forms and manifestations. With the Joint Communication ‘No place for hate: a Europe united against hatred’ of 6 December 2023, the Commission and the High Representative/Vice-President responded to the increase of antisemitism and all other forms of hatred1. On 14 October 2024, the Commission adopted the first progress report of the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life (2021-2030)2. The Commission responded to questions related to Mr Musk’s gesture at the midday press briefing of 21 January 2025: ‘We absolutely stand by our policy on antisemitism.
