Summary of petition The petitioner claims the Danish authorities have not yet implemented Directive 2011/7/EU on combating late payment in commercial transactions. He explains that the deadline for the transposition of the Directive was 16 March 2013. Moreover, he adds that Danish courts have been rejecting the right of creditors to demand reasonable compensation from the debtor for any additional costs in addition to the fixed amount incurred due to the debtor's delayed payment. He complains that his letters to the Danish Ministry of Justice have been ignored and that the legal system in Denmark fails to protect citizens. 2.
