Adoption of agenda ECON_OJ(2024)0902_1 The agenda was adopted in the form shown in these minutes. 2. Chair’s announcements Linguistic profile of ECON The Code of Conduct on Multilingualism is the set of rules which govern interpretation and translation facilities in the European Parliament. One of the requirements is that our committee - like all other committees - is obliged to draw up at its constitution, and keep updated, an interpretation language profile based on the real needs of the Members. Management of the profile is the responsibility of the secretariat, in agreement with me, as Chair. In line with these requirements the secretariat has forwarded - following the constituent meeting on 23 July - to the administration profiles with 12 – 16 – 20 and 23 languages. These language profiles are based on the numerical composition of the Committee, with "full" Members taking precedence over substitutes. Since February 2022, the post pandemic ECON meetings have been functioning with interpretation of 12 languages, a figure that can be reviewed if necessary.
