EU High-Level group on combating hate speech and hate crime to meet Equality, non-discrimination and racism Hate crime When 12 June 2024 - 13 June 2024 Where Brussels Belgium Organised By European Commission External event FRA will attend the 12 th meeting of the EU High-Level group on combating hate speech and hate crime. The event is jointly organised with the Belgium Presidency of the Council of the EU. The first day focuses on countering hate speech and developments under the Code of conduct on countering hate speech online. During the second day, discussions will address the recommendations delivered by the European Citizens Panel on tackling hatred in society. FRA will contribute to a panel on ‘Institutional responses to hate speech and hate crime at the EU and national levels’. Other panel members include the European Commission, the Council of Europe and OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The Brussels event will run from 12 to 13 June.
