I was hosted at the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy last week by the Head of the College Paul Hegarty, by Naval Commander Roberta O Brien and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at MTU Sean McSweeney. NMCI was the first third level College in Ireland to be built under the Governments Public-Private Partnership. The public part of that partnership is Munster Technilogical University and The Irish Naval Service. The private part of the equation is Focus Education. The Head of the College Paul is passionate about the potential for the Maritime Industry in Ireland. I look forward to supporting them in every way I can as a Member of the European Parliament.
