Rasheed – Transparency International Jordan Hosts National Dialogue to Introduce Good Governance Guidelines for Civil Society Organizations

The event brought together around 50 representatives from CSOs, legal experts, government entities, and relevant stakeholders to explore how the proposed guidelines can contribute to a more transparent, accountable, and participatory civil society environment. The guidelines have been developed to reflect the international best practices within Jordan’s legal context, aiming to provide practical tools that support CSOs in adopting effective internal governance systems. Among the participating institutions were the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Companies Control Department, and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. “This good governance guide doesn’t only provide the international best practices, but it also provides the needed tools for implementation, taking into consideration the different size of the CSOs as well as the Jordanian legal framework,” said Ms. Abeer Mdanat, Executive Director of Rasheed TI."At the heart of our partnership with Jordan lies the European Union’s shared commitment with the Jordanian government to promote inclusive governance and community participation.
