CONTEXT OF THE DELEGATED ACT Under Article 6(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and Council establishing a common framework for European statistics relating to persons and households, based on data at individual level collected from samples, the Commission is empowered to adopt delegated legal acts specifying the number and title of variables of the different data sets. According to Article 6(2), the number of variables laid down in the delegated act must not exceed by more than 5% the number of variables for each domain of those variables already required, on a mandatory basis, by the Commission (Eurostat) at the moment Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 entered into force.
