Weekly respiratory virus update, week 20, May 2025
The winter epidemics of influenza and RSV are coming to an end in the EU/EEA. Overall respiratory virus activity is low. SARS-Co V-2 activity remains low, but it is important to remain vigilant for potential increases. Preventive measures, such as frequent handwashing, physical distancing, avoiding large gatherings, and wearing masks in healthcare settings can help reduce transmission and protect those at high risk of severe illness.
