Question for written answer E-001262/2025/rev. 1 to the Commission Rule 144 Georgios Aftias (PPE) Subject: Establishing a housing fund and doubling funds The housing crisis is a massive problem that weighs on young couples and socially vulnerable people in EU countries and Greece every day. This development has taken on gigantic proportions and therefore requires immediate attention. No time must be lost and not one euro wasted. There need to be guarantees that housing will be made affordable, especially for young people, young couples and low-income families. This is a Europe-wide problem affecting metropolises and smaller cities alike and placing a financial burden on millions of citizens. In Greece, the problem has taken on massive proportions. It is our duty to do our utmost to resolve this crisis. Needs are growing and we must make sure that there will be affordable housing for vulnerable people. There is no time to lose. In view of the above, can the Commission answer the following: 1. Will it distribute funds to Member States fairly, based on their different needs? 2.
