Stronger science, wider reach: A new service is turning research results into sustainable solutions

Sharing knowledge, speeding up the use of new technologies, and creating lasting positive ripple effects help researchers and their institutions to get the most of their research. The European Commission entrusted the wider Advance Facility with €5 million in EU funding to support this effort. As part of Horizon Europe’s Widening participation and spreading excellence programme, this new initiative offers tailored guidance on dissemination and exploitation to researchers in 15 EU member states, 14 associated countries as well as the outermost regions. The goal: to make research from these regions more visible, better shared, and more widely used.  How the service can help you The wider Advance Facility helps institutions in lower R&I performance regions to maximise the social and economic impact of their research by:  sharing and leveraging research resultsenhancing research managementimproving technology transfer processes strengthening intellectual asset and standardisation capacity developing investor-ready pitches The first call for proposals for organisations from Widening countries is planned for May-June 2025.
