EU Member States appoint André Denk as new EDA Chief Executive

EU Member States have appointed today General André Denk as the new Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency (EDA), upon recommendation of the Head of the European Defence Agency / High-Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. André Denk’s mandate will officially start on 16 May 2025. With German Major General Denk’s appointment, it is the first time in EDA’s history that a high-ranking military official will guide and manage the Agency.“I am glad to appoint General André Denk as the new Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency.
