This week, my parliamentary group (Alliance 90/The Greens) was constituted in the German Bundestag. We elected all key positions and are ready to work for our democracy with all our energy and passion. My collegues have again placed their trust in me to serve as our spokesperson for security policy and as green chairwoman of the Defense Committee. We are now in the opposition. We will monitor the MoD and Boris Pistorius’ work very closely and ensure that the achievements made in recent years for the Bundeswehr are not lost and important further steps are taken with no delay. That means especially supporting Ukraine in their fight for survival and working on a strong european answers to the Russian agressions and hostilities. Following the changes in dept rules in our Constitution, which we as the Greens helped to bring to a majority in march, there is no longer any reason not to address the outstanding issues. Zeitenwende must go on and put on another level. Times are rough.
