PROCEDURE (1) Following pre-notification contacts (2), on 28 May 2021 the Romanian authorities notified the Commission of their intention to grant restructuring aid to TAROM S.A. (‘TAROM’). (2) By letter dated 5 July 2021, the Commission informed the Romanian authorities that it had decided to initiate the procedure laid down in Article 108(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (‘TFEU’) in respect of the restructuring aid. The Romanian authorities submitted their comments on the observations contained in that letter on 11 August 2021.
