ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE EIGHTH CHAMBER OF THE GENERAL COURT 14 November 2024 (*)( Removal from the Register )In Case T-477/24,Antoni Comín i Oliveres, residing in Waterloo (Belgium), represented by G. Boye, lawyer,applicant,v European Parliament, represented by J-C. Puffer and by T. Lukácsi, acting as Agents,defendant, 1        By his application under Article 263 TFEU, the applicant, Mr Antoni Comín i Oliveres, seeks, in essence, the annulment of the European Parliament’s decision not to recognise him as an elected Member of the European Parliament for the parliamentary term 2024-2029.2        By letter lodged at the Court Registry on 10 October 2024, the applicant informed the Court, in accordance with Article 125 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Court, that he wished to discontinue proceedings and submitted that each party should bear its own costs.3        By letter lodged at the Court Registry on 18 October 2024, the defendant requested, pursuant to Article 136(1) of the Rules of Procedure, that the applicant be ordered to bear the costs, including those incurred in the proceedings for interim relief.4        Article 136(1) and (2) of the Rules of Procedure provide that a party who discontinues or withdraws from proceedings is to be ordered to pay the costs if they have been applied for in the other party’s observations on the discontinuance.
