Lukácsi, acting as Agents,defendant, 1 By his application under Articles 278 and 279 TFEU, the applicant, Mr Antoni Comín i Oliveres, seeks, in essence, suspension of operation of the decision by the European Parliament not to recognise him as an elected Member of the European Parliament for the parliamentary term 2024-2029.2 By letter lodged at the Court Registry on 4 October 2024, the defendant invited the applicant to discontinue the present interim relief proceedings and contended that the applicant should be ordered to bear the costs.3 By letter lodged at the Court Registry on 10 October 2024, the applicant informed the Court, in accordance with Article 125 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Court, that he wished to discontinue the present proceedings and submitted that each party should bear its own costs.4 Article 125 of the Rules of Procedure provides that, if the applicant informs the General Court in writing or at the hearing that he wishes to discontinue the proceedings, the President shall order the case to be removed from the register and shall give a decision as to costs in accordance with Articles 136 and 138 of the Rules of Procedure.5 Article 158(5) of...
